I will share a few more posts about this day and leading up to it but for now, I will say thank you. To everyone who reached out leading up to the day. To everyone involved in the training process from sharing insight/time/tips/tools with links, videos, charts, shoe types, breathing techniques, workout routines, warm ups, warm downs, body stats knowledge, meals, nutrition, sleep, race prep and more. To everyone who checked in, shared support, motivation, love. To everyone who helped watch Adi, gave her the best playtimes or brought her alongside to watch some of Mom’s runs! To everyone who showed up on the day and supported me along the entire journey. To everyone who kept showing up for me throughout the training process and making sure I kept showing up for myself. To all of you and the messages you have sent. I have been a little lost for words at the outpour of love and support that has come my way. Your words have carried me further than you know. To my family, for being everything and more, always. For being supportive and showing up for me more than I can say, on an idea that seemed a little insane at first. To my daughter, who’s always been my number one supporter. Who’s done warm ups, Neighbourhood and coast road stroller runs, stretch time, smoothie testing and really been there through it all. Hearing her little voice when I broke the corner to the finish line screaming “GO MOM”, followed by her jumping in on the race, one shoe in hand, ready to pass me out, getting me across that finish line. This was a day that held a deep place in my heart for more reasons than one. & the day came, and it brought more than I could have imagined. I’m still in a little shock that it’s actually over. We did it! Thank you 🤍
